a little about
RAD home school
RAD
home school has been in existence since 2019 when I started to home
school Robin, when Titan and Talon started to live with us, I also
took them out of school and started to home school them also.
I
have been working on a policy for community or home/ schooling to
present to the pays plat band for a while and will continue to
persue that goal as I believe that home or local community schooling
is the way to go, I prefer home schooling.
We need a continued presence out at Gravel and the Student/youth can
provide that and learn to look after the facility, while looking
after all the chores needed to keep it running and they can work or
establish their own businesses there with
RADs assistance.
there is no funding available for home schooling, federally,
provincially or tribally and so we need to pay the shot for our kids
education, but i would not have it any other way after doing it for
so many years.
tutors, and daily activities, computers, supplys, home schooling
isnt cheap
the
best teacher is experience
the facility must be self sufficient and self running and not be a
strain on the band finances, this is the goal of the
RAD homeschooling.

arts and craft shop
I would like to have the craft
shop a
completely local native crafts, art and will be looking into a
consignment arrangement or as it is financially out of the boyz
range right now to deal with the arts and craft.
i would like the students to run
the craft shop in there, but that would have to be a student
driven initiative, at the moment the space is available

approx. three display cases and
another 8 ft of shelf behind the main showcase is available
for displaying your crafts,

A more detailed plan of this will be forth
coming, but these are survival skills we need to teach the kids,
gardening and such as canning, fermenting, butchering, and raising
chickens and rabbits as a survival skill for the community. the
meat and eggs could be distributed to the elders and less
fortunate or whoever likes eating good food and help with the cost
of food.

the land is in a good
area for multiple purposes.
the pays plat band must considers that
this is reserve land and will
be included in the signing of the 1850 treaty as an addendum or
through our land process, its 10 acres that we must control for
the economic needs of the band.
I have looked at
the condition of all buildings,
plumbing, electrical and found them to be in
decent shape with little repair and renovations needed but
suffered some damage from being shut down last year for the first
time in its history and should not shut down this year.

when i inspected the
house trailer I found a soft spot in the main bathroom, between the tub
and toilet that is rotten
and needs to be repaired.
I can do it when i have the time.

maintenance equipment at all and needs a riding mower, and weed wacker
The Garbage dump is at Gurney , no way to take our garbage there unless
the residents on the lake have a system, I will ask them

believes that we need to develop Skills early because the best
teacher is experience
we need to develop the businesses that
will require local skilled members to run them in order that our youth
can live and work locally, if we do not create the jobs needed for
them they will have to leave home to work, are we replacing ready to
retire people with other band members or are we going to have members
of other bands replacing them.
We need to use
the arena for
business development this proposal is just to show some of the
possibilities
we should plan as if we have the money or we have this much money to
invest, the arena is there , it can produce lots of local businesses
for the future of the younger generation whether its private or
community run
